A person who was wrongly convicted of a homicide he didn’t commit has died in suspicious circumstances close to the World Resorts on line casino.
On October 29, 2023, medical personnel responded to a name involving a person affected by accidents associated to a “purported accident,” in accordance with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Division (LVMPD).
The person, who was later recognized as 47-year-old Christopher Tapp, was transported to hospital the place he later died.
Detectives at the moment are saying that his dying wasn’t unintentional and that it has became a murder investigation. Police say they’ve realized that there was an altercation inside a lodge room earlier than paramedics had been known as.
The Clark County Coroner’s Workplace says Tapp died from a blunt drive trauma to his head, ruling his dying as a murder. Police haven’t recognized any suspects.
In 2019, Tapp was exonerated and awarded $11.7m following a settlement from regulation enforcement after being wrongly convicted of a homicide he didn’t commit. Earlier than the settlement, Tapp had spent 20 years in jail.
